In Guatemala, the Botran family has been passionate about rum since 1939, it has forged a very particular know-how, allowing it to develop typed and very original rums, which have little equivalent in the rest of the region. world.
Botran Solera 1893 is a blend of rums (between 5 and 14 years old) in solera in bourbon, sherry and port barrels. This is what allows the rum to soak up the characteristics specific to each of the barrels and thus give the complexity and richness of the aromas to Botran rum. The cellars are located at altitude to intensify aging and develop its delicate aromas.
The color is amber, sustained, with mahogany reflections. The nose first develops a rather sweet dominance of vanilla and caramel, then evolving into notes of blond tobacco, sandalwood with a little applesauce. The palate is very smooth at first, then develops a more tannic power, marked by wood and vanilla, but also notes of flambéed banana, fig and butterscotch. Long persistence of the finish, very aromatic to the end.
