The other vintages of:
Château de la Peyrade is a must-visit for Muscat de Frontignan enthusiasts, offering a complete experience that blends historical and geological discovery, a rich tasting experience, and attentive service. A perfect balance of tradition, exceptional terroir, and hospitality.
History & Terroir :
Built at the end of the 18th century on a slight promontory bordering the Étang des Eaux Blanches (White Water Pond), facing the Île de Sète, the vineyard covers 26 hectares, primarily planted with Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, complemented by a few red and rosé grape varieties.
The subsoil consists of Frontignan lacustrine limestone, up to 20 meters thick, which is excellent for revealing freshness and balance in the wines.
Winemakers & Production :
The estate is managed by Yves Pastourel and his sons, specializing in naturally sweet Muscat de Frontignan wines. The wines are regularly featured in the Hachette Wine Guide, particularly the Prestige cuvée (vintages 2022, 2008, etc.).
The vineyard is entirely dedicated to Muscat grapes, producing sweet, semi-sweet, and dry wines.
