Gin is produced from neutral alcohol in which juniper berries and a number of spices have been macerated. Everything is then distilled before bottling.
There are three types of Gins, including "Distilled Gin" and "London Dry Gin".
The Netherlands makes some excellent ones but it is the English who make it their national drink and make it popular.
Gin is very dry and fragrant and serves as a base for many cocktails.
