Citadelle
Extrêmes N ° 1 - No Mistake
Old Tom Gin
Citadelle No Mistake Old Tom Gin takes its name from the nickname given by Charles Dickens to his hero Old Tom, alias "no Mistake". Citadelle therefore reproduced the model in homage to the writer.
Starting from a popular 19th century gin to give it depth is the challenge here!
This Old Tom gin is produced by storing the Citadelle Réserve in barrels for three months, accompanied of course by the famous brown sugar (for the Old Tom style).
On the nose, fresh and powerful aromas emerge from juniper berries, cardamom and orange peel. These aromas evolve towards floral nuances of jasmine and fennel. On the palate, it presents elegant and full-bodied notes composed of lemon rind, almond and anise. In a second step, you will find more spicy traces of nutmeg, cinnamon and Cubeb pepper. The finish is long and pleasant. It is accompanied by floral, woody and spicy notes.
