The Faugères Vineyard Classified as an AOC in 1982 Located north of Béziers, this 2,000-hectare terroir winds its way across schist-covered hilltops.
It is a balcony reaching an altitude of 600 metres nestled against the Cévennes mountains, overlooking the Languedoc plain with the sea in the distance.
The grape varieties of Faugères wines :
Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault.
The wines of Faugères :
Produced using traditional vinification or carbonic maceration, Faugères wines are round and full-bodied, with silky tannins and delicate aromas of ripe fruit, liquorice and garrigue.
With age, they reveal smooth bouquets with notes of leather and flint.
Meat and poultry will find a generous and subtle companion in Faugères.
