An investment in a field being refused by the banker, the Champart you start in 1976 gradually buying old vines abandoned.
After restoration of the vineyards and replanting of certain parcels, the grapes are brought to the cooperative until 1988, the year of their first batch of wine in a cellar near the field.
Location and terroir
16 ha of vineyards south St Chinian 210m and 280m above sea level. The vines are eye opener to the steep slopes of clay and limestone soils, as plateaus with light and filter and the bottom of the slope to fine clays and Triassic sandstone soils.
Wines
Syrah and Grenache, Cinsault especially reserved for Rose, Carignan aged 65 to 90 years, but Graziano Mourvèdre (900 strains)!
White: Roussanne, Marsanne, Bourboulenc, Grenache gris.
The new planting are from massales selections from the best areas (Domaine Tempier, Chateau de Beaucastel, Domaine de Trevallon).
Winemaking
The harvest is manual, in comportesde 45 kg of grapes, sorting is done in the vineyard if necessary.
For whites, the primary objective is to preserve freshness. The grapes are picked early in the morning.
In red, the grapes are picked at high maturity scuffed, slightly crushed and put into tanks by gravity.
Both concentrated and easily accessible, the wines of Domaine Mas Champart are an expression of terroir with aromas of garrigue.
A particular style respecting the purity of fruit and freshness.

Blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan on clay-limestone hill in the basement of marl.
Breeding takes place for vintage Côte d'Arbo.
