Montanaro
Grappa di Barolo
Piémont, Italie
A reference from Piedmont! The Montanaro distillery was founded in 1885 by Francesco Trussoni, who had the genius idea of distilling marcs from a single wine and especially the prestigious Barolo. The distillery will experience a new boom from 1922 under the aegis of the Montanaro family who will perfect the production process in close collaboration with the Wine School of Alba.
It is a grappa made exclusively from Nebbiolo grape marc from the best terroirs of the Barolo appellation. Aged in oak barrels, this grappa acquires fruity and roundness and a delicately golden color.
This grappa is straw yellow in color typical of long aging, it offers an aromatic palette to the nose that traces the most characteristic aromas of the nebbiolo grape variety. In the mouth, it is soft and velvety.
