Hacienda Santa Teresa in Venezuela

This rum was created by the Vollmer family to celebrate the bicentennial of the Santa Teresa hacienda, more than 200 years of history in Aragua have instilled the character of their inhabitants and their rum. Santa Teresa 1796 is the only aged rum produced in its entirety with the long-standing Solera method, an artisanal process using oak barrels traditionally reserved for sherry and Spanish brandy. each sip rewards the senses with levels of experience, lingering lingering flavors as the rum warms your puck. This round and full-bodied rum is delicate with a complex and mellow flavor. It is best to enjoy it alone or with mineral water. The most demanding critics have rated the Santa Teresa 1796 Ultra Premium variety as "the best rum in the world".

The solera system: In a traditional "sistema solera", aging in barrels is achieved by mixing rums of different ages. This technique combining tradition and modernity allows the development of a mature rum, which can be characterized by unique flavors and aromatic complexity.

     Tasting:

Fruity with hints of honey and dark chocolate. A soft and complex flavor, this rum offers notes of tobacco and leather, roasted and smoked. Rum offers a roundness and balance that can only be achieved by the Solera method. It is full-bodied while remaining delicate, elegant and velvety. The end evokes aromas borrowed from oaks in which the rum has aged.
