Like Evan Williams and Henry McKenna, Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is part of the product line created by Heaven Hill Distillery to commemorate the historic pioneers of American whiskey.
Elijah Craig Small Batch is blended from at least 120 new oak barrels.
It still has the juniper and coconut notes associated with extended bourbon cask ageing. An interesting complexity for one named after Father Baptist Elijah Craig, the first American to age whiskey in new oak barrels.
Tasting notes :
Colour: Deep old gold
Nose: oak, caramel, spicy and stewed fruits.
Palate: green apples, touch of aniseed, sweet spices.
Finish: long and creamy. Notes of oak toast
