Presentation :

Viognier, the emblematic grape variety of the Northern Rhône Valley (Condrieu and Ampuis), nearly disappeared.
Its revival dates back to the last quarter of the 20th century.

Domaine de Gourgazaud is nestled against the first foothills of the Montagne Noire in the commune of La Livinière.
This Viognier was planted 40 years ago on a plot called "Monte Cristo."

A historic Viognier, as it was the first to be planted in Minervois.
The estate is renowned for the quality of its dry and elegant white wines.

Château de Gourgazaud

Chantal Piquet and Annick Tiburce in La Livinière.

Perched in its pine forest and backed by the first foothills of the Black Mountain, the Château de Gourgazaud is one of the precursors to the development of quality wines from the Minervois.

Mentioned on the maps from the 17th century, the Castle was restored in its present form in 1833.
Its different terroirs offer a variety of varieties, including reds such as Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as whites such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Viognier.
