At the southern tip of the Côte Chalonnaise, in Saône-et-Loire, four villages (Buxy, Montagny-lès-Buxy, Jully-lès-Buxy and Saint-Vallerin) join forces to produce Montagny appellation wines (exclusively white). Made from the single grape variety Chardonnay, this white wine gives "fresh breath and clear ideas". The monks of Cluny preferred it to any other.

Tasting notes:
The nose offers us a greediness of white flowers with crunchy white fruits bathed in a rather pastry-like atmosphere. The attack in the mouth is both crystalline and greedy with a very slender structure. The balance is marked by a creamy substance and a well conducted acidity.

Food and wine pairing :

Roasted prawns with satay, Thai-style fried noodles. Roasted chicken and sweet potato fingers with peanut sauce.
