From the love of the Cevennes to the passion of wine
Jérôme Pépin is one of these inspiring, talented, humble and discreet winemakers. Having grown in the middle of the Cevenole vineyards, in a mas, an old magnanerie, typical house of this territory.
Arriving in adulthood, his instinct naturally guided him to an engineering school in Science and Technology of the Agri-Food Industries; then towards a specialization in viticulture-enology at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Agronomie de Montpellier.
His degree as an oenologist in his pocket, he worked for more than 15 years in the service of wine companies: from Gironde to Australia, from Saint-Chinian to New Zealand and Carcassonne, he was able to approach very different ways of designing wine.
he finally re-positions his professional suitcases in the Cevennes, in Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort for our greatest pleasure: nine vinifications, a magnificent terroir, wines appreciated, personal and professional encounters and at the end, the desire to start his business!
Today in Bagard he creates modern, original and elegant wines.
