The Grosperrin house produces a VSOP cognac made from three grape varieties harvested and distilled separately, just like the cognacs of the past.
The nose reveals floral aromas. The palate reveals notes of liquorice and a honeyed sensation. On the finish, slight notes of roasting linked to the ageing process.

Cognac Grande Champagne AOC
France - Charentes
Maison La Gabarre, an independent family company, was created in 1992 by Jean Grosperrin, broker and merchant in Cognac eaux-de-vie. Nowadays the House selects and matures old cognacs, bottles them and distributes them under the "Cognac de Collection Jean Grosperrin" or "Cognac Le Roch" brand.
The Grosperrin house produces a VSOP cognac made from three grape varieties harvested and distilled separately, like the cognacs of yesteryear.
It is a Grande Champagne cognac of the VSOP category (cognacs whose youngest eau-de-vie is at least five years old), traditionally made from a blend. It is thus made up of Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard grape varieties.
Grape varieties:
Ugni blanc, folle blanche and Colombard.
Tasting:
It is a fairly vegetal cuvée, we perceive aromas of flowers on the nose. The mouth reveals notes of liquorice, completed with a honeyed sensation linked to the Colombard grape. On the finish, we appreciate the light notes of roasting associated with aging.
