The best bourbon in the world comes from a single barrel. And it is never mixed with whiskey from any other barrel. That's how Colonel Albert B. Blanton bottled his private reserve bourbon nearly a century ago. And it's how Blanton is bottled today.
This is an expensive and laborious way to produce bourbon. The peak maturity of bourbon varies from barrel to barrel. And only a master distiller can determine the exact moment when the whiskey has extracted enough flavour from the wood. So he carefully monitors each barrel until it is aged to perfection and deemed worthy of the Blanton label.
This is why the bottle bears no age statement. Just the hand-marked information that you can see.
And that's why Blanton's is to bourbon what the best single malts are to Scotch and the rarest cognacs are to brandy. A tart whisky of body, bouquet and character unmatched by any other.
This bourbon is produced in the famous Buffalo Trace distillery. Made from a single cask, it is distinguished by its atypically shaped bottle with a cap adorned with a thoroughbred, Kentucky's second emblem after bourbon.
This Straight From the Barrel version allows you to taste an authentic whiskey, with an unreduced and non-chill-filtered bottling.
