After spending the first twelve years operating in a cooperative cellar, the Domaine de Coursac was born out of a search for quality and authenticity which involved the acquisition of a cellar and the production of our own wines. The Domaine has 23.5 hectares of vines in the AOC "Coteaux du Languedoc" terroir, denomination AOC Sommières and Igp Cévennes.
It is located in the Commune of Carnas, in the Gard department, in the middle of the hilly scrubland.
The estate is being converted to organic farming.
Grape varieties:
55% grenache noir, 35% syrah, 5% carignan and 5% mourvèdre.
Tasting Notes:
The wine has a beautiful intense ruby color with purple reflections. The nose, pleasant and charming, exhales aromas of red fruits dominated by cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry on a pleasantly spicy background. On the palate, the wine shows character with well-integrated and elegant tannins.
