La Flibuste: a legendary vintage from a Martinique distillery that is itself legendary: La Favorite!

La Favorite is the last Martinique rum distillery that still works with steam! A guarantee of authenticity, which can also be found in the rums that bear the signature of this very old Martinique house.
Once a simple sugar factory, it was Henri Dormoy who turned the business towards rum production.

The cuvée La Flibuste is emblematic of the La Favorite brand: but very few lucky people will have the privilege of tasting this limited edition which is released every year! The production of this cuvée is carried out each year in a limited quantity of 6000 bottles.

Produced from twenty years of ageing in oak barrels containing cognac, this aged rum is bottled by hand: each bottle is numbered and sealed with wax.

This aged agricultural rum is one of the best ambassadors of both La Favorite and the island of Martinique itself!

     Tasting notes:

Aged for 20 years in cognac casks, La Flibuste reveals notes of roasted vanilla accompanied by a hint of liquorice. On the palate, the candied fruits are topped with dark chocolate. The candied plums are stretched out for a suave and greedy finish. Great!
