Waqar Tulahuén
Pisco
Chile
Pisco is the national drink in Chile. It is a grape eau-de-vie which is similar in its production method to French eaux-de-vie, since it is a distilled muscat grape brandy (double distillation) then aged, for some cuvées, in barrels. The pisco from the Waqar distillery is one of the most famous.
For 5 generations the Camposano family has carried on the tradition of pisco distillation. In the Tulahuén Valley, at the foot of the Andes, the wine specially made for this pisco comes from the harvest of hand-harvested pink muscat and muscat grapes from Alexandria, which grow around the distillery. Jaime Camposano is the master distiller who composes this very limpid, aromatic and natural brandy, which offers all the expression of the terroir from the lands and the pure sky of the Limarí valley.
This cuvée of pisco Waqar is distilled in small quantities in a copper still, only the noble "heart" of the alcohol is retained. No woody aroma is added in order to retain its original purity and transparency.
This pisco expresses fruity, floral and liquorice scents. It is fresh, spicy, marked by muscat, accompanied by notes of mushrooms, melon and chervil. A surprising spirit!
