Mount Gay
Triple Cask Blend - XO
Barbade
Mount Gay Distilleries is none other than the oldest rum brand in the world, its first deed of ownership dates back to 1703.
Mount Gay XO is a blend of rums aged 8 to 15 years, sufficiently floral to appeal to the greatest number, and with a complex palate that will delight connoisseurs. The kind of bottle that you open that, to my chagrin, empties far too quickly.
This rum has an acacia honey color with light green reflections. It has a very complex nose dominated by fine smoky and balsamic notes. Subsequently, very discreet notes of undergrowth, beeswax and cedarwood appear. The mouth, supple from the attack, presents a beautiful aromatic amplitude which evolves on a slight bitterness at the end of the mouth. The long and powerful finish ends with delicious sweet and gourmet notes.
A powerful rum with balanced flavors on a smooth texture with a floral and fragrant finish.
