Situated in Mazan, in the Vaucluse, at the foot of Mont Ventoux, Domaine de Favérand is a wine estate run by François Tessonneau. Established in 2021, the estate has developed an approach centred on expressing the terroir, respecting the vines and adopting a minimal-intervention winemaking style. It draws in particular on experience gained at renowned estates in the Rhône Valley, notably Domaine des Tours and Château Rayas.
Through its wines, Domaine de Favérand seeks to produce refined, fresh, balanced and authentic wines that reflect the character of the Mazan and Ventoux terroirs. This experience now informs his personal approach to winemaking and his desire to create wines that express their origins.
Domaine de Favérand is part of a new generation of Ventoux wine estates seeking to highlight the freshness and elegance of the region’s wines. The work in the vineyard, the care taken with the soils and the winemaking philosophy all contribute to forging the estate’s unique identity.
