Founded in 2021 by André Sarton du Jonchay, Domaine du Jonchay cultivates 5 hectares of old Gamay vines on the slopes of Chénas. Committed to traditional, terroir-respecting viticulture, the estate produces authentic AOP Chénas red wines that combine finesse, freshness and character. Located in Chénas, in the heart of the Beaujolais wine-growing region, Domaine du Jonchay is a wine estate founded in 2021 by André Sarton du Jonchay, a passionate winegrower and winemaker.
Across 5 hectares of old Gamay vines, planted on the hillsides of Chénas, the estate cultivates an approach that respects the terroir and all living things. Vineyard management and winemaking are guided by traditional farming wisdom, with limited use of inputs, in order to preserve the expression of the grapes and the identity of each vintage.
Domaine du Jonchay produces characterful red wines under the Chénas AOP, combining finesse, richness, freshness and authenticity. Its flagship cuvée, Les Pendrouilles, reveals the full richness of the hillside terroirs and the potential of Gamay.
