Orografia (from the ancient Greek ὄρος, "mountain", and γραφή, "writing").
Mountains are written and described with this "Ageless" wine. It refers to a drawing instrument invented to facilitate the mapping of mountainous regions by making "tours d'horizon", here between Languedoc and Roussillon, formerly France and Aragon.
A rare (only 150 bottles) non-vintage, dry rancio (oxidative wine) from wines from 2005 to 2014.
Grape varieties:
60% white grenache and 40% grey grenache.
Aged on lees in barrel for 5 to 15 years.
Tasting notes:
Golden and limpid in colour, on the nose there are notes of sweet roasting, iodine oxidation, dried nuts and brioche. On the palate, a dry white wine profile with lively acidity, more iodine and salt notes, yellow plum. Long, intense and salivating finish, ending on yellow fruit, slightly brioche.
