Located at the entrance of the village of Castelnau de Guers, the Castelnau estate, an ancient landmark of the Lords of Guers since the 13th century, harmoniously combines tradition and modernity. The nocturnal harvest of grapes at full maturity, the restricted use of sulphites and the breeding on fine lees demonstrate the Muret family's commitment to quality.
Between the plains and the garrigues, the vineyard enjoys a rich diversity of terroirs and a perfect climate, allowing an ideal ripening of the grapes. This variety is found in the selection of AOP Picpoul wines from Pinet, Languedoc, IGP Oc and Pays d'Hérault for a domain in HVE 3.
The garrigue here presents itself in all its beauty and diversity.
There are red ruffes, dolomies, sandstones, volcanic rocks, "conglomerates" and shellfish limestone from the bottom of an ancient sea that covered the area. Bosquets of thymes and rosemary, parasol pines, and almond trees.
As an Independent Vigneron, the Muret family offers authentic and high quality wines.
