The Domaine Feuillat-Juillot, The Montagny with the feminine!

Françoise Feuillat-Juillot and his daughter, Camille, are at the head of a 15 ha estate located on the best terroirs of the Montagny appellation with its flagship, the first cru les Coères, which produces fatty and raced wines.

The Feillat-Juillot estate was founded in 1989 with the association of Maurice Bertrand, owner of the vineyard, and Françoise Feuillat-Juillot. The latter, daughter of Michel Juillot, a winemaker at Mercurey, fell very small in a wine vats, as she likes to say. So she didn't hesitate for a moment when she presented herself with the opportunity to have her own vines.

The 14 hectares of vines of the estate are located in the center of an amphitheatre of marnes and limestone bathed in an exceptional climate where the chardonnay, the only grape variety of the appellation, flourishes beautifully. Of the nine wines produced, six are from Premiers Crus terroirs, including the most qualitative of Montagny such as Coères or Burnins.

As the reason for the struggle is to set, the soil is worked mechanically and not chemically, for exclusively manual harvests. In the cellar, the stainless steel vats alongside the oak barrels to adapt to each cuvée, with as a guideline the search for lively and fruity wines that give to drink Montagny to the feminine.

Intense notes of white flowers with a mineral and buttery note. In the mouth, good attack, roundness, greedy profile on white fruit, white peach. Nice crisp wine.
