Presentation :
Laurent Fournier cultivates 16 hectares of vines on the prestigious terroirs of Marsannay and Gevrey-Chambertin.
Having been a pioneer in sustainable viticulture, Domaine Jean Fournier switched to organic farming in 2008.
Part of this new generation, brimming with talent and ‘organic’ at heart, Domaine Jean Fournier is now regarded as one of the highest-quality estates in the Côte d'Or.
Bourgogne Côte d'Or, a new AOC recognised since 2017, is more restrictive (lower yields), guaranteeing that the grapes are 100% from the Côte d’Or department and 100% Pinot Noir... which was not the case previously.
This cuvée is made from 80% of the estate’s own vines, from various climats within the Marsannay appellation: Caillée, Champ Forey, Longues-pièces, Perches, Platières, supplemented by young vines under 20 years old from Clos du Roy and Les Longeroies.
Mostly on the lower slopes, facing east-southeast, on Bresse marl and Cônes gravel.

The Jean Fournier estate is a historic estate in Burgundy.
Founded in the 17th century in the heart of the appellation Marsannay, on the coast of Nuits. Under the impetus of Laurent Fournier, the estate has taken on a new dimension in recent years by producing very fine wines, mainly pinot noir.
This 16-hectare estate now operates vineyards mostly planted in Pinot Noir in Marsannay, Fixin and Côte de Beaune, supplemented by chardonnay, pinot Noir and tied.
A conscientious farmer, Laurent Fournier is a fervent supporter of organic farming, and obtained certification in 2008.
Reds include a proportion of one third to 50% of whole harvest.
Its appellations: Marsannay, Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin... are all located on the coast of Nuits, in the terroir of the great red wines of Burgundy. It is on the appellation Marsannay that the estate realizes the majority of its wines: Clos du Roy, Longeroies. The estate also produces some white wines from Burgundy: Marsannay blanc les Longeroies, Marsannay blanc Clos du Roy and Marsannay blanc.
The wines of the Jean Fournier estate have great potential for care and finesse.
The quality level is high. A very safe address, in red as well as white, which enters our guide through the big door.

White fruit notes dominate. The attack is fresh, tense and saline notes enhance its delicate fruitiness in the mouth.
