Domaine Chiroulet is a family-run winery located in the heart of the Ténarèze region, in the village of Larroque-sur-l’Osse, one of the historic areas of the Gascon wine region, also renowned for Armagnac.
Its name comes from the Gascon word “chiroula,” meaning “the whistling wind.” The estate dates back to 1893, with an initial agricultural operation combining crops and livestock.
Six generations of the Fezas family have worked to develop the vineyard. Since 1993, Philippe Fezas, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, has managed the estate, focusing its production on expressing the terroir and crafting characterful wines, while respecting the environment.
He constantly strives to express the terroir through his wines. The wines are precise and harmonious in character.
Today, the estate covers approximately 40–45 hectares of vines planted on predominantly clay-limestone soils facing due south, towards the Pyrenees, which promotes optimal grape ripening.
A special mention goes to the Côte d’Heux, a Gros Manseng white wine that is both complex and expressive !
