Located in Pic Saint Loup, the northernmost terroir of Languedoc, Château Lancyre is a family-run estate, certified organic since 2022 and holding High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3 certification.
Château Lancyre is a family estate of approximately 80 hectares of vineyards, located in Valflaunès, within the Pic Saint Loup appellation (Hérault, Languedoc).
At an average altitude of 150 meters, the soils are predominantly limestone, with some red clay on the slopes, depending on the plot. The vineyards are influenced by both Mediterranean and mountain climates (cool winds from the Cévennes mountains) which moderate the nights.
Since 1995, winemaker Régis Valentin has managed the estate, with a focus on quality, respect for the terroir, and increasing the quality of the wines.
The estate's flagship wines are:
La Rouvière: a dry, fresh, and mineral white wine made from Roussanne, Viognier, and Marsanne grapes grown on hard limestone with a northeast exposure.
Vieilles Vignes: a red cuvée (Syrah, Grenache) that is highly representative of the terroir, with character, power, but also freshness and concentration.
