Les Pallières
Racines 2017
Gigondas AOC
France - Vallée du Rhône
The Domaine Les Pallières belongs to the Brunier family (Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe) in partnership with their friend Kermit Lynch, a famous American importer.
The estate, taken over in 1998, covers 135 hectares in one piece, 25 of which are planted with vines and 110 with woodland (pine and oak).
The vines are cultivated in terraces on a soil composed of limestone rocks from the Dentelles de Montmirail. These rocky screes rest on a layer of red clay.
Grape varieties :
80% Grenache noir, 30% Syrah and Cinsault (complemented) and 5% Clairette
Tasting notes:
The colour is deep and the nose intense and very complex. The tannins are supple, the fruit is pure and elegant. The expression of the great terroirs of Gigondas can be found, with notes of black fruit, spices and olive. There is something dark and deep, a savoury character reminiscent of tapenade.

Braised lamb chops with rosemary, turnip mousseline with oregano. Venison stew, reduced juice with ratafia, sautéed chanterelles.
