The white maceration wine (sometimes called "orange wine") is simply a white wine vinified as red wine with a film maceration (of the skin of the grapes). In concrete terms, the operation consists of fermenting white grapes with their solid parts, i.e. skins and sometimes even rallies.
Like red grapes, white grape skin contains tannins, so we have tannic white wines. They are generally more digested with less alcohol. In the composition of orange wines, freshness prevails with, curiously, rather low acidity.
