Tasting Notes :

A beautiful, modern-style Chardonnay, aged for 7 months in oak barrels,
with a lovely balance of crisp fruit and subtly integrated oak.
The flavors offer an appealing array of nectarine, Granny Smith apple,
spice, vanilla, white flowers, hazelnut, and lightly toasted walnuts.

Food Pairing :

Rabbit saddle wrapped in kale, heritage vegetable tian.
Trout gravlax, grapefruit supreme, and pink peppercorns.

About :

D'Arenberg is one of the most important estates in McLaren Vale.
Founded in 1912 by Joseph Osborn, this estate has been passed down through generations.
Chester Osborn joined the company in 1984 as winemaker.

D'Arenberg cultivates its vineyards (as well as those of its suppliers) using sustainable practices:
minimal or no irrigation, no fertilizers, and the use of biodynamic preparations and the lunar calendar, guided by Biodynamics Australia.

In its winery, d'Arenberg is the only estate to use a screw press for both white and red wines.
The name of this cuvée refers to the numerous olive trees that grow among the Chardonnay vines, making harvesting challenging.
