Berry Bros & Rudd
London Dry Gin
After more than 300 years of existence, Berry Bros & Rudd is one of the oldest diviners and spirits merchants in the world. In the 1950s, their London Dry Gin which was known as "Berry’s Best" was distributed in the United States to certain privileged customers such as director Franck Capra.
B. B. & R. called on Charles Maxwell to recreate a gin produced by these wine and spirits merchants in the 1950s, the "Berry's Best". Only one bottle of the original London Dry Gin was left. Armed with a bottle of this precious 1950s liquid, Maxwell and his team recreated a flavor profile that matches this historic expression. This gin is identical to the recipe and the aesthetic of the time, simple and skillfully balanced.
Using juniper, coriander, angelica and winter savory, among others, the result is a very classic gin with a floral (violet) side, a touch of soft chalk and a hint of sweetness. The palate is attractive, smooth, accessible, round, easy to drink, deliciously floral with a slight sweetness.

Extreme Citadel No.1 No Mistake
Starting with a popular 19th century gin to give it relief, here’s the challenge here!
On the nose, citrus fruits and dried fruits. Nice mineral presence on the palate, a touch of acidity and an elegant fat to finish. A nice wine.
We appreciate the mineral side which gives an enormous length which ends with the very classic bitterness of the clairette. Splendid !
