Tasting notes :
Resolutely Mediterranean, this cuvée combines the grandeur and class of Mourvèdre with the smoothness of Syrah and the fullness of Grenache.
Its deep colour gives way to a nose with aromas of blackberries and sweet spices.
It is an elegant wine with a long finish.
Food and wine pairing :
Refined and distinguished, this wine will charmingly accompany a rack of lamb or pigeons roasted with juniper.
Presentation :
“As a nod and a tribute to our father, who was a visionary in his region, we created a cuvée in 1995 that remains the estate’s flagship wine.
This cuvée was called ‘La Gloire de mon Père’ (a nod to the writings of Marcel Pagnol).
When our father passed away in 2004, this cuvée became “La Terre de mon Père”.
As he inspired us to do, we wanted, through this cuvée, to offer you the best of ourselves, the best of the vintage.
This cuvée transcends trends, defies time and is a tribute to a lover of the vineyard and our beautiful region. »
Christine Simon

Domaine Clos Bagatelle, located in Saint-Chinian in the Languedoc region, is a family-run wine estate founded in 1623 by Pierre Mercadier, a cloth merchant.
Since then, the estate has been passed down from mother to daughter, continuing a centuries-old winemaking tradition. Today, Christine Deleuze and her brother Luc Simon run the estate, each taking charge of the commercial and viticultural aspects respectively.
The estate covers 60 hectares, spread across four distinct terroirs: La Lauze, Donnadieu, Assignan, and Saint-Jean-de-Minervois.
Clos Bagatelle is recognised as a reliable choice within the Saint-Chinian appellation, offering refined, elegant and flavour-rich wines that reflect the harmony between tradition and innovation.
Clos Bagatelle offers a varied range of wines, primarily made from Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Muscat grapes.
