Introduction :

"Some wines are like certain fleeting and rare moments.
It all began with the acquisition of a small plot of vines surrounded by rockrose and broom.
After much care for these delicate vines, we eagerly vinified this Saint-Chinian white wine for the very first time in 2011.
Seeking a balance between finesse and floral aromas, we hope this wine will allow you to share magical moments." - Christine and Luc Simon.

Roussanne, Viognier, and Vermentino grapes grow on a high-altitude sandstone terroir.
Carignan Blanc vines are over 60 years old and grow on clay-limestone soil.
Grenache Blanc vines are 50 years old and grow on schist soil.
The grapes are pressed whole.
The juice is settled at 4°C and then blended with the other grape varieties.

Clos Bagatelle

Domaine Clos Bagatelle, located in Saint-Chinian in the Languedoc region, is a family-run wine estate founded in 1623 by Pierre Mercadier, a cloth merchant.

Since then, the estate has been passed down from mother to daughter, continuing a centuries-old winemaking tradition. Today, Christine Deleuze and her brother Luc Simon run the estate, each taking charge of the commercial and viticultural aspects respectively.

The estate covers 60 hectares, spread across four distinct terroirs: La Lauze, Donnadieu, Assignan, and Saint-Jean-de-Minervois.

Clos Bagatelle is recognised as a reliable choice within the Saint-Chinian appellation, offering refined, elegant and flavour-rich wines that reflect the harmony between tradition and innovation.

Clos Bagatelle offers a varied range of wines, primarily made from Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Muscat grapes.
