Ester Nin and Carles Ortiz are the driving force behind this very interesting project.
She is an oenologist from a family of winemakers who left her native Penedès to settle in Priorat and work with Daphne Glorian, with whom she created the renowned and prestigious Clos Erasmus wine, whose 2004 and 2005 vintages received 100 Parker points; And he, a retired builder and climber, decided to settle in Porrera after acquiring the Les Planetes estate and, from the very beginning, has cultivated his vines according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture.
This duo produces wines of the highest quality, guided by a philosophy of respect for the environment and nature.
Wines that reflect the terroir, the climate, and the vintage, crafted with minimal intervention and fermentation using indigenous yeasts.
With Planetes - Vi Blanc de Varietats Antigues, they offer us the opportunity to taste a single-varietal Carignan Blanc from Priorat.
The wine is aged for six months in clay amphorae and three months in oak barrels, allowing us to rediscover this ancient grape variety, which embodies rusticity and terroir without sacrificing elegance.
