With The Fighting Bear gin, Leonardo Leuci returns to the origins and classic tradition of the London Dry style.
Juniper from the Apennines in Italy, harvested at perfect maturity between September and October, is complemented by Roman chamomile, bitter orange peel, angelica root and other spices. These aromatics are infused directly into the steam during a distillation in a rare Carter Head type still of only 200 liters.
Tasting notes:
Nose: The nose is rich, juniper notes are long and lingering with hints of bitter orange and Roman chamomile rounding out the aroma.
Palate: The taste is dry, with marked herbal and balsamic notes.
