Tasting notes:
An intensely smoky and peaty palate, underpinned by notes of sea salt, candied citrus and
a lovely brininess, with a long, delicately ashy finish.
Food pairings:
Serve with grilled or lightly smoked black pork, whose fat and caramelised notes
complement the peat, smoke and saltiness of the whisky perfectly.
It pairs perfectly with beechwood-grilled salmon or fresh oysters,
whose saltiness and briny texture echo the whisky’s smokiness.
About the company:
Located in the north-east of Scotland, at the heart of the famous Speyside whisky-producing region,

Gordon & MacPhail is owned and run by the third and fourth generations of the Urquhart family and employs over 130 people.
Specially selected for the Discovery series, this single malt is rich in fruit and peaty smoke.
