Amarone della Valpolicella classico DOC
Italie - Vénétie
Monte Dall'Ora, in the heart of the Valpolicella appellation, was born of a dream: to interpret nature without forcing it. Carlo Venturini and his wife Alessandra Zantedeschi both come from wine-growing families and founded the estate in 1995. The microclimate of Valpolicella is unique. Cold air from the mountains of Trentino Alto Adige collides with warm air from Lake Garda just to the east. The resulting temperate climate allows olive, cherry and citrus trees to flourish side by side, an unusual combination in the far north and inland of Italy. Humidity is high, so Monte Dall'Ora's choice to work organically and biodynamically is quite rare in this productive farming area.
For Carlo Venturini and Alessandra Zantedeschi, the idea is not just to "make wine", but to make "their wine". This means small quantities produced that perfectly translate the emotions these winemakers feel for their terroir.

Tasting notes:
This wine has an intense ruby red colour. In the glass, it has large tears. The nose is reminiscent of sultanas, with hints of cherry, plum and undergrowth, followed by intense and refined aromas of pepper, spices and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is enveloping, dense and complex, with a very long persistence. A sensual wine that will evolve beautifully over 30 years.
