Presentation :
There is hardly another estate that has given the Wachau region the perception of a great, serious and quality wine region as strong as that of the Knoll family.
Emmerich Knoll's estate is located in the village of Unterloiben in the Wachau region of northeastern Austria.
The vineyards, 15 hectares in total, are located in Schutt, Loibenberg, Kellenberg and Kreutles in the Wachau and in Pfaffenberg in the Kremstal.
Grüner veltliner and riesling share 90% of the grape varieties in the vineyards.
The remaining 10% is planted with Chardonnay, Gebler Muskateller, Traminer, Rivaner and Pinot Noir.
Emmerich Knoll's wines are among the finest and most elegant in this region and have great aging potential.
The estate's wines are easily recognizable by their traditional labels which represent Urban, the patron saint of winegrowers and vineyards.
